Congress isn't working, because they're too busy taking time off. (And trying to repeal Obamacare, strip women of their rights, etc.)

Boehner is more interested in playing golf, maintaining his tan, and having a brew with the boys than he is anything else. The ones who support all this time off need to be shown the door at the first opportunity!

when he was in the house back in the 70s. I was just a kid when we went to Washington but I remember he took us on a tour. We were going up the steps of the Capitol Building and we saw an entourage coming down the steps. Mr. Kennedy introduced us to Senator Kennedy. Went to the public viewing area inside the house chamber and then he took us to lunch in the Senate dining room. I wouldn't say my father was a good friend of Mr. Nolan, but he was a prominent businessman in the second largest city in the district. (At that time, the Minnesota 6th was the most rural district in the nation. The largest city had a population of under 15,000.)

That same trip where I mentioned our time with Mr. Nolan my brothers and I got to meet and get photos with Senator Humphrey, Sentator Wendy Anderson, VP Mondale, and USSC Justices Warren Burger and Harry Blackmun (both raised in Minnesota). There was a broadcasters convention in Washington and the Minnesota broadcasters organized a banquet in which to honor Senator Humphrey (he had already been diagnosed with cancer). I know this sounds like made up B.S. but it really happened. The dinner was in the same room where the Watergate searings and the Army–McCarthy hearings were held. I was 15 at the time, but I was just old enough to be impressed by the event. We have a snapshot of my mom doing a photobomb behind VP Mondale.
