Do we still need the Patriot Act?

Did we ever need it in the first place?

Wasn't it more of a political "act" than anything else?

Is it not possible to protect our nation without the Patriot Act?

Aren't most politicians fearful of being called weak on defense and that is why they continue to support this monstrosity?

All things considered, wouldn't we have been much better off as a nation if it had never been passed?

It was always about controlling and spying on the American people and never about keeping us safe.

It was just the Bush Crime Syndicate's way of eroding out civil and constitutional rights

would be infuriated that the Patriot Act ever passed as it violates so many of the rights that they sought to guarantee American citizens could enjoy. They would also probably agree that the name of the act merely adds insult to injury.
