Ryan's Twisted Demented Logic - Poverty Programs Cause People To Be Poor

So removing poverty programs will reduce poverty and encourage people to work. The latest scheme is to have a work program for the Food Stamp Program when 92% of the recipients are already working or are disabled and unemployable (They cannot work). Even if the 8% who are theoretically able bodied, there are no jobs for them.

One of the redeeming features of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries is that people would actually say what they meant in economic matters, and a man saying then what Ryan says today would state clearly how this would reduce the number of poor persons....

And the answer I've heard from the right wing libertarians like Ryan is that if we did away with minimum wage, there would be lots of jobs. Yep.
