On the eve of legal gay marriage in the state of Minnesota, I share this.
Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk, from a rural blue district, who was key in getting gay marriage through the senate, gave a passionate, moving speech just before the senate vote was taken back in May. I invite you to watch it. You can hear people outside the capitol cheering. And? HE FUCKING DROPS THE MIC AT THE END OF IT.
BOOM.
Gay marriage will be legal as of 12:01 a.m., August 1. Congratulations to my GLBTQ friends in Minnesota.
