Concealed carry holder puts on body armor, displays his handgun, and GOES INTO MOVIE THEATER.

I mean, there's no way this story could get better, right?

Wrong.

GRAND BLANC TWP -- A Flint man is out on bond after being charged with a federal offense for having fake government identification while bringing a gun and wearing body armor at a Grand Blanc Township movie theater.

24-year-old Cassidy Delavergne of Flint has been released on bond and faces possession of fake government identifiication.

Tuesday he entered the Trillium Theater wearing body armor, visibly displaying a handgun and carrying rounds of ammunition.

Grand Blanc Township police responded to the theater after someone noticed Delavergne's vest and gun.

Legally, Delavergne is permitted to carry a weapon. He also possessed a Concealed Pistol License.

The problem, say police, Delavergne was wearing a fake CIA identifiacation card and badge and originally told officials he worked for the Central Intelligence Agency, a federal crime...

Broke federal laws, damn! Now all we have to do is throw the book at him.

No more CCW for you, Mr. Delavergne of Flint, Michigan!

Oh, and Flint, totally economically devastated. An underlying cause of violence in America.

This update is published by the Michigan State Police Training and Standards Division. Questions and comments may be directed to
MSPLegal@michigan.gov

As more and more police officers are encountering citizens who are openly carrying firearms in Michigan, the Michigan State Police
offers this special edition of the Update to assist officers in familiarizing themselves with Michigan
laws regarding both open and concealed carrying of firearms.
Open carry of firearms

In Michigan, it is legal for a person to carry a firearm in public as long as the person is carrying the firearm with lawful intent and the
firearm is not concealed. You will not find a law that states it is legal to openly carry a firearm. It
is legal because there is no Michigan law that prohibits it; however, Michigan law limits the premises on which a person may carry a
firearm.

MCL 750.234d
provides that it is a 90 day misdemeanor to possess a firearm on the premises of any of the following:
A depository financial institution (e.g., bank or
credit union)

A church or other place of religious worship

A court

A theater

A sports arena

A day care center

A hospital

An establishment licensed under the Liquor
Control Code
The above section does not apply to any of the
following:

The owner or a person hired as security (if the
firearm is possessed for the purpose of providing
security)

A peace officer

A person with a valid concealed pistol license
(CPL) issued by any state

A person who possesses on one of the above
listed premises with the permission of the owner
or owner’s agen

But the reality is most restraining orders are issued against men.

It has been estimated that about 85% of such orders are issued against men, with the remaining 15% issued against women.

http://www.saveservices.org/downloads/VAWA-Restraining-Orders

And men commit about 90% of murders and commit most violent crimes- by a lot.
