I don't really mind that we are an insignificant dot in a sea of black. It drives home the idea that we cannot just pick up and move when we deplete local resources, we have to come to grips with our population and wasteful consumerism.

on a quantum level, we change the wave of particles of the universe. Causes and conditions. I guess we could also set the causes and conditions of extinguishing life as we know it; but the universe will keep on expanding and contracting.
