We are Obama's supporters AND detractors for a Damn Good Reason
The American Right Wing has none of the intellect, integrity, appreciation of reason or moral decency necessary to judge a pie-eating contest, let alone to judge the President's conduct of his office.
A government that is only taken to task by people lacking all credibility will veer into excess, ineptitude and decadence.
Our system requires that somebody be calling out the system for it's REAL errors, its REAL failings.
Feeding the hungry and greasing the skids for sharia law are not REAL failings. (The first is not a failing, the second is not real.)
If the Republicans were capable of being a loyal and principled opposition with a hint of sanity then we could have some creative competition.
But they are a worthless mix of bible-thumpers, unhooded Klansmen and greed-heads.
So WE are left to provide the principled opposition as well as the support. We are both, and have to be both.
Just the way the cards were dealt.
