Beau Biden has 'successful procedure'

Beau Biden has 'successful procedure' at MD Anderson Cancer Center, according to White House

HOUSTON -- Vice President Joe Biden's son, Beau Biden, has had a "successful procedure," according to White House.

In a statement released today by the Vice President and his wife, Jill Biden, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden underwent the procedure yesterday.

"He great shape and is going to be discharged tomorrow and heading home to Delaware. He will follow up with his local physicians in the coming weeks," the statement read.

The statement did not detail the type of procedure Beau Biden had, but we know he's at the MD Anderson Cancer Cetner.

1. I believe they found a "mass" in his brain. Maybe this was a biopsy procedure.

I don't take the news to mean that he's out of the weeds just yet.

7. When they do biopsies, they leave the patient open on the table.

The lab processes the sample and reports back. Then, if it is cancer, they excise (and don't send patient home right away) and if it's benign, they remove the mass.

I lean more towards AVM/aneurysm that was repaired.

We'll know eventually, though.

6. I think he's "fixed." If there was more to do at Anderson, they'd keep him.

That's THE place. They're very good with cancer, of the sort Teddy K had--so we can almost "assume" it ain't that.

He might have had an AVM like his father's, that needed a clamp on it and that's that.

He's going home to follow up with his own docs. This is very heartening news.
