Abbie Smith is an immunologist who writes at ScienceBlogs, and she details the sad story of former boxer Tommy Morrison, who died last week at the age of 44.

Morrison's reputation as an athlete was exceeded only by his reputation as a bedroom athlete, at least back in the day - when he was already HIV-positive.
