Lawrence O'Donnell made a fool of himself.

Really?

Yeah.

Look, Anthony Weiner isn't going to win, now. Duh. So, why put him on to ask him psychological questions that O'Donnell has no merit to ask?

Would O'Donnell ask Bill Clinton, "What's wrong with you?" Fuck, no. And Clinton PHYSICALLY cheated. Weiner Tweeted his, well, weiner. I wouldn't like it if my husband did that, but I wouldn't consider it a divorcable offense, unlike what Clinton did.

I'm sure I'll be harangued on here. I seem to be too left for DU these days.

My incredibly intelligent son, who happens to like to game, wants us to leave AT&T and move to Comcast/Xfinity because of their gaming speeds. We don't much care for Comcast, locally, because of their poor history of service and, in our large-tree-laden neighborhood, their lack of response when cable/internet/phone goes down (our AT&T box allows us 4 to 5 hours of internet service on a battery pack so we can check our wireless devices for weather updates).

So... my son learned that we didn't switch from Current to al-Jazeera because of a conflict with AT&T.

Now, you have to know that my son is half Arabic. My ex, his father, is from Jordan. And he knows I'm fond of foreign news and find al-Jazeera particularly interesting, so he's lobbying on that to get us to switch.

I get the ploy, but find him industrious, all the same.

I divorced his dead-beat dad when he was 15 months old. We grew up together.

Now, I'm remarried and we have a 6-year-old girl. She's the baby. And my son - and he's only mine, quite literally and legally - after she was born told me she was the cutest thing he'd ever seen. I knew we had a family.

I didn't get why he even had him on if he wasn't going to at least let him speak. Frankly, Weiner was a good advocate for the poor and middle class. If he thinks he can do some good by running and winning political posts, than fine. You can either vote for him or not vote for him. I felt like asking O'Donnell why he feels a need to be on TV.

Larry told viewers to get ready with their questions. What happened? There were no questions?

Weiner got a good dig in. He said something like: no one watches your show, so why would I hang around and go online. BOOM!! That was good.

I love Larry O, but I couldn't understand what happened there. He was a total nutcase tonight. Weiner is a nutcase, too, but Larry was off the chain tonight.

In his combativeness and retorts, I was briefly reminded of what Weiner could have been, had he been able to control his narcissism and keep his pants on.
The guy is intelligent, plain-spoken and can make a passionate case. It's a shame his ego, dishonesty and lack of self-control has turned him into a national punchline.
He could have done a lot of good, but alas, he now heads to the dustbin of history.

What's the difference between Clinton (or Kennedy or Roosevelt, except for the fact that Weiner didn't actually, you know, cheat) and why is the DEMOCRATIC ESTABLISHMENT going after him like this?

Why is Weiner being raked over the coals for something that wasn't as bad as what Clinton did, morally (in a marriage).

I don't care, but why is it that Weiner is being asked, "What's wrong with you," but Clinton wasn't, by the Dem establishment?

My first husband is from Jordan, but identifies as Palestinian since that's where his parents were born. My husband, now, is Jewish.

The one thing they agree on, besides that I have a great butt, is that the U.S. needs to be more fair on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. They seriously agree on this ( and I apologize for the butt joke, but they did discuss that).

He did say that Palestinians don't exist. I remember that, but, you know, so does every other politician
. It's not politically feasible.

Actually, it was a pretty unpleasant experience -- ten or so minutes of crosstalk. I'd never seen O'Donnell so strident.

I'm sure MSNBC is hearing some of the same comments as on this thread. There may be a mention of the whole sorry segment on tonight's show.
