Is Obama asking Congress for approval on action in Syria because if he doesn't, he might be

impeached? If not, what is the reason?

Saw this:

chill out everyone. It's just a bluff to get them to dump their chemicals. and it's working!!!! Congress will never give their approval (they will just keep delaying) & the president knows he'll get impeached without it. but they don't want to go in either. They just want to keep the pressure up so Syria gives up her chem weapons. Now none of you tell this to too many others no ya hear? The bluff won't work if everyone knows

Without the Congress aproval. Then, there would (supposedly) be grounds for impeachment.

As has been pointed out, impeachment is a political process not a legal one - so he could be impeached today because, say, he made someone wait while he got a haircut (this wouldn't happen of course, just an example).

But - while there may be some liberal anti-war members of congress who would want to impeach on these grounds, and some rabid right wingers for whom any reason to impeach Obama is a good reason, centrist Democrats aren't going to support impeachment, and many republicans would be uncomfortable at the precedent set by impeaching Obama for this reason.

That should be a law of nature.

The reason is, he is brilliant and although he is smarter than everyone else, he is perfectly modest about it.

I hope.
"He is smarter than everyone else"
People can't deny he is an intelligent man but your statement is false.
