Courage requires us to remain steadfast in our beliefs. It asks that we stand by the convictions we express and never give an inch, no matter what the cost. However off base, wrongheaded, or patently false a position weve staked out may be, courage nonetheless demands that we blindly pound home our stupid fucking point, never letting up.
True valor is the moment in a conversation when you realize that what youre saying is completely and utterly wrong, but you continue to say it over and over again anyway, only louder.

I forgot how crazy the truthers were (are?).
When I originally came to DU (around '02 or '03 I think, I was a lurker, didn't start posting till '04, and I've long since forgotten what handle I posted under back then), I was hanging out with a couple CT guys (my roommate and his dad). They showed me Loose Change, and turned me on to the 9/11 Forums of DU. I soon discovered that Loose Change was bullshit, and that the 9/11 forums were full of crackpots. Good thing I bothered to explore the rest of the site...
