... the opposition to which is "no there needs to be a diplomatic solution"...

then there IS a diplomatic solution...

And those who were originally pushing for bombing are pointing at those who preferred the diplomatic solution and saying that they are refusing to admit that they were in the wrong.

That's actually very weird.

Their guy, who wanted to do the bombing, can't anymore through having been circumvented by another agency... but... no.... actually it was his idea all along... and he's cleverer than everyone.

What would YOU call a person who propounds such things?

Obama wound up in our camp (not by first preference, but still) and now the hawks are all claiming they were here all along and that it is, actually, their camp. I can't say I've ever seen more delusion in a group of DUers than I have in the last few days.

But many of the responses in this thread prove that the hero worship of Obama is out of control. Many worshippers are so insecure in themselves they need to hate the infidels in order to feel better.

It's pretty obvious. Taking Syria's outcome and spinning it into a failure is really stretching things. All to find something to complain about.

It's one of those (depressingly many) terms that translate as "I'm not interested in discussing anything, just attacking anyone who disagrees with me," so I just assume there's no point in engaging with 'em.

I do think Obama made the most of an opportunity. I give him full credit for that. I hope like hell this averts war and bombings. But I don't believe he 'had this planned exactly like this for months' and I don't believe he is this super-intelligent perfect being.

Perhaps the belittling can stop from both sides now. Or perhaps not.
