The Syria cris is the first issue I have not supported Obama on

I definitely err on the side of adoration of our President. I am disappointed he hasn't ended the wars or done more for global warming but I have never been angry with him. The past weeks I've been furious that he wanted to strike Syria and absolutely disgusted with John Kerry.

If this diplomatic thing works I will gladly eat crow. And I won't doubt him again.

People who labeled Obama as a warmonger do not understand international negotiations.

When you have the BEST military on the planet, you USE it to negotiate.

Same thing happened to Bush when his guys pushed the Immigration/Amnesty bill in 2006. Republicans fought tooth-and-nail and got it killed. Afterward, a coordinated anti-establishment 'tea party' began to gain popularity.

I wonder what the Democrat version of this will end up being called.

I hated being put in this position. I hated seeing what I thought was a progressive president acting like a neocon. I hated being on the same side as my teabagger representative and family. I hated taking such a vocal stance against a president I had until recently so strongly supported. I hated agreeing with right-wing FB friends. But he was so wrong on this I simply had no choice. I feel that strongly about war. I hope he makes up some ground with his base soon. Our faith needs to be restored.
