That pipeline....

It's late and I don't feel like looking stuff up, but aren't the Koch brothers involved with that, and didn't Hillary, when she was at State, come out FOR it?

As the "most-likely-to-win candidate," she will no doubt enthusiastically come out publicly for it, and Obama, the gentleman that he is, will defer to her opinion.

Maybe that's all Koch's really want is the pipeline, and Obama won't have to fold on AFC. It was under study a while back, and I don't think he ever said "NO."

If the uninsured get good cheap health care, maybe the environmentalists will forgive him the pipeline.

But with the scientific report that just out about us causing the warming, floods, and coming land loss, I hardly see why they want to take more oil out of the ground. But what do I know?

There is no way the environmentalists will ever forgive him if he approves this mess. It stands a good chance of polluting the Ogallala aquifer, which supplies water to millions of people.

It's not oil in the conventional sense. It is TAR SANDS and when it's broken down and diluted with other more liquid toxic fluids, it will sort of flow. It will go onto the world market, and will not benefit us at all.

I believe the Koch brothers are heavily involved, yes.

and really fishy that Pelosi wasn't there with her whip to keep her tigers on their platforms...

I hate the idea of the pipeline too, and not just because of pollution. They're taking too much stuff out of the ground - coal, oil, minerals, gems, precious and not so precious metals, I always feel the earth is getting lopsided.

You know, like when people get plastic surgery and fix something, another part of them don't work so good? Mother Earth is our mother, and we take after her.

Going to bed Dear Peggy...
