They need to be designated as such, detained as such, prosecuted as such.

Also, Bush/Chainhole need to be brought before an international tribunal to face charges of war profiteering.

And don't worry about one-party rule. As soon as the proto-fascists are shut down, the one party will split into a REAL left party and a Conservadem party. Voila! Two new parties.

You seem to be quite ready to discard the 1st Amendment.

If you want to get the Republican party outlawed, then you are wanting one party rule. Only those who agree with you may run for office, any who disagee get arrested.

Nor does it limit who runs for office.

Perhaps, though, you may be incorrectly thinking of the "foreign terrorist organization" designation under US Code, an inapplicable designation which, by the way, is not what this petition advocates.

Why are you so insistent in making inaccurate assumptions, jumping to unsupported conclusions ("Republican Party outlawed"..... "one party rule" ... "only those that agree with you may run for office" .... "any who disagree get arrested&quot which have not been advocated by anyone?

Why so insistent in trying to stretch the point of a hyperbolic petition beyond what it says?

Calling a spade a spade is a necessary step to putting an end to continued intimidation by an increasingly extremist minority who continues to get its way by taking hostages, gerrymandering, and voter suppression.

The Republican Party has repeatedly shown contempt for American democratic process, and rightly earned the contempt of fellow Americans, including millions former Republican supporters such as Andrew Sullivan, who has this to say concerning the current Republican behavior:

I regard this development as one of the more insidious and anti-constitutional acts of racist vandalism against the American republic in my adult lifetime. Those who keep talking as if there are two sides to this, when there are not, are as much a part of the vandalism as Ted Cruz. Obama has played punctiliously by the constitutional rules – two elections, one court case – while the GOP has decided that the rules are for dummies and suckers, and throws over the board game as soon as it looks as if it is going to lose by the rules as they have always applied.

The president must therefore hold absolutely firm. This time, there can be no compromise because the GOP isn’t offering any. They’re offering the kind of constitutional surrender that would effectively end any routine operation of the American government. If we cave to their madness, we may unravel our system of government, something one might have thought conservatives would have opposed. Except these people are not conservatives. They’re vandals.

This time, the elephant must go down. And if possible, it must be so wounded it does not get up for a long time to come.

What is the point of having the Republican Party labeled a terrorist organization except to talk legal action to disband it?

Poster #6 wants them shut down and wants to have only center-left and far-left parties. No RW allowed.

#12 wants the Koch assets seized. For what reason? Because they had the temerity to disagree with him politically and to financially support the RW.

Freedom means that people will disagree with you politically and even vote against your favored candidates. As soon as you decide that freedom isn't working and that you must suppress dissent, you have become a tyrant. You have become the very thing you claim to oppose.

While you are busy shifting your groundless distortions of what the OP stated to your imagined distortions of various comments made by others, you seem oblivious to the need to reframe the public discourse in a way that truthfully reflects the actual practices by which the current GOP is attacking America.

If we do not call a spade a spade and correctly label the jihadists who have taken over the GOP (and who the media constantly caters to by language that conveys false equivalencies, and which mainstreams right wing memes), we will continue to see the right wing control the semantics of public discourse, and see continued right wing control of political outcomes.

What is your purpose in your persistent strawman attacks of exaggerated and/or imagined positions, while ignoring the salient point: the need to reclaim linguistic honesty in the semantics of public discourse?

The entire point in calling the current crop of GOP vandals (to borrow conservative Andrew Sullivan's prescient observation) what they are is to reward them with the public contempt they so richly deserve.

Rewarding those that have taken over the GOP with the contempt they have earned has nothing to do with "legal action", "disbanding" anybody, or having "only far left and center-left parties". . . . The effect of these false attributions or imagined extensions of comments is to shift the terms of debate in a direction advantageous to the right wing vandals, when what is needed is to clearly label their economic and political blackmail/vandalism/terrorism for what it is, and to subject the current GOP to the public scorn and contempt they justly merit.

These criminals are orchestrating the whole thing.

ALL of their assets ought to be seized. With their money turned over to the feds, a lot of the deficit would be paid off.
