Is it just me or does it seem like it's those already insured who are doing the most complaining...

about affordable health insurance for those who are without.

I can't count the number of complaints I've heard from those who are already insured.

Pretty unbelievable.

When the conversation comes up, I usually say "Well, it seems to me that those of us on Medicare, which is a government supported health insurance program, shouldn't begrudge other people having health insurance."

Every time I hear someone bitching that some people don't deserve health care because they "refuse to work" or whatever, I just want to tear out my hair. Really? Somebody should stay sick and possibly die because these assholes don't like the fact that the sick person doesn't have a fucking job??? What the hell is wrong with these people?

and my only complaint is that I can't get insurance through obamacare. My husbands insurance isn't very good. I just found out today that a medicine my daughter is suppose to take is going to cost $800 a month. I would like to have options and with my husbands work insurance we just have to take what we get. I'm am glad we have had insurance though and know we're lucky to have had it for all but one month of our marriage (we've been married 19 years).

I know people that are like this. They complain about how there are no job in the USA but yet they all have jobs.

Same with the insured.

Why do people do this?

either her school job or her husband's job. And she has lupus so she is gonna get cut off at some point, I guarantee you. They get to do that with the grandfathered policies.

She is screaming about how Obamacare is why the family's insurance policy is way more expensive this year than last, and then she screams about how they make too much money to get subsidies. She's all over the place with why she hates it. And I don't believe that nonsense about her policy nearly doubling, let alone that it's due to the existence of Obamacare, lol.

I love her anyway. But she's kind of gone around the bend with this.

We'd get a better plan on the exchange.

But no complaining here, I'm thrilled for everyone who can now get insured ( I.e. my mother).

have enough money left over to pay my copays or deductibles. Those all go to collections when I go to the doctor. Most of the time I put off going to the doctor because I know I can't pay the copay and deductible. It will be nice to get some tax relief on my premiums, but if we had single payer like they had on Europe I would still have good credit and would be able to buy a home. I will never stop fighting for single payer.

They spend three times as much on health insurance as my mom gets from Social Security in an entire year. And they dared complain that their rates may go up a couple of hundred. Yeah, OK. Granted, single payer would be great, but we're not there, and anything to lower costs for the working poor is fine by me.

I'm one of them.

Here's why:

I'm already insured. I have been for decades.

I can't afford to use that insurance.

I still can't afford to use that insurance.

Insurance does not equal care. That's a false equivalency.

As long as health care is held hostage by for-profit insurance companies, having insurance will not mean care for all insured, or for all conditions.

What don't you get about this?

He keeps trying to convince me its costing him more and I keep telling him to look at his governor and congress critters if that is true. Which of course it isn't. He's a teabagger supreme, doesn't like O because of everything except the black part when in reality that is the leading cause he doesn't. I can read him like a book and it pisses him off but nothing he can to about it. 72 and being led around by the teahadist like a puppy and too stupid to realize it

Everyone deserves the same excellent level of health care I've been enjoying. No exceptions.

And honestly, I'm glad there's finally a backup plan just in case. Would have preferred single-payer, but we've got to start somewhere.
