Nothing goes into effect until Jan 1, and you can sign up as late as December and still get it on Jan 1.

Try again tomorrow, if that doesn't work wait another day or so. If you get into December and cannot get it to work, call the 1-800 number.

Just relax and breathe. It will be ok.

Now.

Uh, honey? You know we don't have to worry about this for months, right? I understand where you're coming from and all, but maybe we could think of this as a process and not something that needs to be decided tonight?

I said now.

OK, I'll go ask my internet friends...

Some speculated it was the browser used or heavy site traffic, but one DUer said it's a bug that's being worked on.

Wait a couple of days (or weeks) until the dust settles. Things are overloaded right now. Virtually all software has kinks which need to be worked out.

The problem is there are no options in the security questions. You can see it in the code. Don't know if the developers of the site made an oops or what. But I've tried on multiple browsers (I'm on Mac) and it's the same result.

Hopefully, they'll get that fixed quick. Not sure how they can have dropdowns with no options for security questions unless they build the code dynamically and something messed up.

The code shows dropdown menus but no options representing real security questions so you can't select anything and the screen won't let you progress to create an account. Pain in the backside, but they'll iron it out in the next hours/day or so I'm sure.
