Question for any military here re Obama

Just got a response to something I posted from a winger that seemed to indicate that the military personnel were adamantly opposed to Obama and hated his guts.

Do not understand why this should be and have not really heard anything like this.

Did the google and found the right wing press is virulently stoking the anti-Obama meme to the military.

Do any of you know if the people in the military have such animosity against the commander in chief? Is this just a right-wing lunacy? Is there truth?

1. There are Democrats, Republicans, and Independents in the military...

You can't stereotype a whole group of folks.

It all depends on the person and each person's individual beliefs - just like it is in the rest of the American population.

2. Military leans strongly conservative...

... but has the full political spectrum from left to right. It's been like that for as long as I've been in (Bush Jr days) and from what I understand it's been that way for a while based on the experiences of the previous military generations of my family.

I hear way more Obama jokes/hate today from Soldiers than I did Bush jokes/hate during his Presidency.

3. I just don't understand it

Heard some of this during Clinton's presidency and did not understand why, if you are under the orders of the commander in chief, you would hate him so much and still stay in the military.

Did the soldiers go into battle with more positive feelings during the Bush years?

I just have such a problem with this whole concept.
