I Will Bet That No Funding Bills Will Be Passed And The Govt Will Come To A Halt

The GOP will not budge. They will probably add the debt limit to the mix, demand abolishing Obamacare et al before they will pass anything. They plan to put the country into such a bind that the public will beg to abolish ACA> And they will continue a Constitutional crisis. Now that they have gone this far they will not go back now.

Our democracy is in just as much danger as we were during WWII as far as I am concerned. I realize that I may have just overstated, but their demeanor gets more bold every hour.

Think about this extortion has been going on ever since Obama won in 2008 and it has escalated ever since. With the rigging of the 2010 electionl things have gotten progressively worse. Just look at NC, Michigan, Ohio, Florida, and the rest of the red states.

I have a hard time seeing them taking and keeping this very hard line.

Republican House members who could have electoral problems over the shutdown. Half a dozen northeasterners are ready to fold now. At some point the leaders have to start thinking about the political cost of these shenanigans. They are, as the saying goes, looking a dead horse up the ass.

And I have been watching this deterioration since Reagan. If we all really think about all the elections over time voters have kept making the wrong choices. And remember all the chaos during the Clinton administration. He was impeached. Sadly he gave them the ammunition and weapon.

2 years lost while Bin Laden prepared.

My mom (rest in peace) saw this coming 20 years ago, and she was outraged at the voters for being so stupid. She had doubts then it could ever be fixed.

Looks like she was correct.
