They might take out these letters:

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

But then, they do that already...

"A well-regulated militia (comma) being necessary to the security of a free state (comma) the right of the people to keep and bear arms (COMMA) shall not be infringed."

They don't like 'em because they denote "A well-regulated militia" as a superior clause, thus the subject of the sentence. They want the sujbect to be "the right of the people to keep and bear arms", which is really a subordinate clause. Those two commas change the whole logic of the sentence, and the GOPee bullet-heads cannot stand it.
