as a condition for passing a clean funding bill:
Less than a day after the government shut down, House Republicans are slowly but steadily coming forward to say they're ready to just pass a bill to fund the government with no strings attached.
Here's who they are, and why they say they're done with trying to force through provisions to delay or defund Obamacare in order to keep the government running. We'll update the list if and when more come in. It would take 17 Republicans, along with all Democrats, to cobble together the votes to pass a clean continuing resolution.
----------
Rep. Pat Meehan (R-Pa.): At this point, I believe its time for the House to vote for a clean, short-term funding bill to bring the Senate to the table and negotiate a responsible compromise. [Press Release, 10/1/13]
Rep. Scott Rigell (R-Va.): Time for a clean [continuing resolution]. [Official Twitter, 10/1/13]
Rep. Jon Runyan (R-N.J.): Enough is enough. Put a clean [continuing resolution] on the floor and lets get on with the business we were sent to do." [Burlington County Times, 10/1/13]
Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.): A Fitzpatrick aide tells the Philadelphia Inquirer the congressman would support a clean funding bill if it came up for a vote. [Philadelphia Inquirer, 10/1/13]

(13,616 posts)at this point, I really, really have no sympathy for ANY GOP. The so called "moderates" have been protecting their slobs for years, even as they were called RINOS. At this point, the kindest thing I would offer them is jail time. As they break rocks in the prison yard, they can watch their Tea Party comrades hang on the scaffold!
