Kick the crazies to the curb

Last night, extremist Republicans in Congress shut down our government. But it could also be the moment we drive these irresponsible politicians from Washington for good, if we act now.

Tea Party Republicans are gambling that by shutting down the government to try to block Obamacare, the public will reward them. And if they get even the slightest positive reaction, they could try political stunts like this again and again, including in two weeks when they plan to drive our country to the brink of default in another attempt to make ideological points. But if the reaction to their game-playing is overwhelming opposition and outrage, their saner colleagues will just start to ignore them so we can move on.
