Question About Obamacare

I plan on signing up this weekend or next week. If I find a plan and decide to go with it do I have to pay now or will I be billed in January? I live in Connecticut and think I'm gonna be paying a little more.

Even if they billed you now, seems to me that the payment due date wouldn't be until just before your coverage period begins, just like any insurance policy.

That's what I was hoping. I'd sign up now and then get a bill around mid December. Guess I'll find out soon enough.
