I Think The Teabaggers Are Determined To Make The Shutdown Permanent.

If the GOP got all the power this scene would be the "new normal" for the US. And they are aiming for a complete shutdown except for their pay. No amount of death or suffering will move these people. I think they are that determined.

But making the shutdown permanent would seriously end their movement. Because whatever that small minority wants, most of America is pretty pissed off that the Government shut down. Even those who think it's Obama and Reid's fault still think it's a bad thing. If they literally pushed for permanent shut down - well that would be pretty disastrous for them as a movement.

they have experienced a loss of manhood and the vote for the shutdown made them feel alive again.

up to the budget ceiling deadline.
The republicans think they have a magic combo
and that the Dems will fold instead
of risk total GOP-induced calamity.
It's a game of chicken.

And for that reason the DEMS can't give in and I believe they know it too. If they give in it will set a precedent for this type of hostage seige to keep happening again and again every time one party passes a bill the other one doesn't like.

keep it going up to the 17th & the debt ceiling, so they can join the two issues.

It's gonna be a matter of the monster of Frankenstein (teaparty house repubs) versus their creators (oligarchs that don't want debt problems).

They think they have a winning hand.
And they have no conscience about using it
no matter what damage it causes.
They just aren't very smart.
I'm confident that we (Obama, Dems and us ) will beat the GOP to a pulp.

Or do much of anything else. I agree they want a permanent shutdown; Fox News and GOP's talking point is that the shutdown isn't that bad, it's just a slowdown to get rid of unnecessary spending. See! What's everyone so upset about? Government was too big anyway!

Unfortunately, a lot of people will agree with them. Insanity!
