He smirked and grinned while Sam Stein was explaining how the shutdown is affecting food assistance programs. I thought Carl Bernstein was gonna rip his face off. I wish I could have!

Kristol also said there were churches that would feed the hungry...all I could think of was Dickens: "Are there no workhouses? Are there no prisons?"

When Bernstein made a snide remark about the way Joe was bickering with Mika, Joe said to him "You're free to leave any time!" Bernstein laughed, but I think Joe was warning liberals not to get too mouthy on his show. As the saying goes, "He can dish it out, but he can't take it."

I wish that a real life "Trading Places" would happen with Bill Kristol. Or perhaps a long talk with his rabbi. I know my stepdaughter, who is a rabbi, would have strong words with him...
