who is less repulsive?....the republicans who voted against the shutdown

or the democrats who voted for it?
from what I understand 7 democrats signed onto this with the republicans
I am looking for the actual vote tally but if this is true will someone remind me again how important the blue dogs are?

Still wrong, but they are not responsible for the bill passing. The GOP had his 50 % on his own.

Most of the 12 Republicans who voted AGAINST the latest House bill did not vote against the shutdown. They wanted a LARGER shutdown. Had King succeeded delivering his 25 guys, it is likely the 9 Dems would have voted NO as well.

But there is virtually NO Republican who voted AGAINST the shutdown (King and one other one, that is all). So, the question asked is moot.

The latest bill had 12 no votes. http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2013/roll504.xml but most of these votes were because the law did not cut Obamacare enough, not because they wanted to prevent the shutdown (Bachman and Gohmert are among them).

The vote to suspend the rules had 6 Republicans opposing http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2013/roll502.xml . It was also mostly Republicans who opposed not killing Obamacare.

and they did. I'm sure their fellows on DU will come to explain that by voting for the shutdown they really meant to oppose the shutdown, because that's what they always do to explain why their cohort is with the GOP.

Someone explained a few days ago here that some blue dogs come from very red district, where voters would likely be against the ACA. So, when it looks like the House GOP has enough votes anyway to pass the poison pill resolution, the blue dogs will typically get the go-ahead to vote with the GOP. It's a meaningless vote, but it looks good back home.

however I do not at this time have a Democrat representative.

My take on this? If someone is a Democrat in a red district then they had better do their jobs 10x's better than a Dem in a blue district. If these blue dogs had done their job of talking to and educating their districts they would not have "had" to do this to remain safe. They evidently did it well enough to get elected.

NO excuses.
