... the entire NFC East is so terrible, that the Eagles could still win the division.

Not likely, but at this pace, the Eagles and everyone else in the NFC East might have a shot at the playoffs up until the last game of the season.

The division sucks so 9-6 or even 8-8 could make the playoffs.

But in the past few months he's said some things that have falsely made him seem more reasonable, so people have been inferring credibility where there truly isn't any.

He's crap, has been crap for years, and will continue to be crap for a long time to come.

Back on DU2 I got blasted for criticizing Maureen Dowd, too.

It's weird how certain media heads are given so much credit for doing so little of value.

which was about JFK, so he was comparing everything that happened to something in the Kennedy administration and then he'd go on about how that thing was in his book, blah blah blah. This is worse because he worked fo O'Neill so now we get to hear about how Tweety himself was in the midst of it all and it was just like what's happening now only what we did was blah blah blah...

That guy is so full of himself.

I haven't seen him crashing the commercials yet, but it's probably only a matter of time.

Just to clarify: I usually catch "Hardball" in the evenings. I kinda like him. But I think I've gotten the message by now: Yes, he wrote a new book. Yes, it's about the great working relationship between the Tipper and the Gipper. No, thank you, it doesn't interest me, and I don't really care about how their Great Relationship contrasts to today's reality. Now please STFU about it and do what MSNBC pays you for.

I miss his half hour Sunday show; it used to come on here right after David Gregory's Meet the Republicans, and it helped to cleanse the pallet. Now they've moved it to something like 4 a.m. Don't want to piss off Mr. Gregory or his Dancing With the Stars partner, kkkkarl.

Except when they sent him out to get more coffee or down to the deli for some sandwiches.

He is desperate to convince us that he is the ultimate DC insider on a first name basis with all the big name politicians (as if that would impress anybody).

But no matter how much he tries to polish the turd, the fact remains he was basically a fuckin gofer. If we could dig up Reagan and O'Neill and ask them what they thought about Matthews, we'd probably get a quizzical look as they tried to remember just which one of the worker bees he actually was.
