Aesop and the GOP: the Scorpion and the Frog

http://www.aesopfables.com/cgi/aesop1.cgi?4&TheScorpionandtheFrog

The Scorpion and the Frog

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the
scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back. The
frog asks, "How do I know you won't sting me?" The scorpion
says, "Because if I do, I will die too."

The frog is satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream,
the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of
paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown,
but has just enough time to gasp "Why?"

Replies the scorpion: "Its my nature..."

So, what does this have to do with the GOP? Simple, we are dealign with people who, like the Scorpion, have been designed to contain venom and sting. It is their nature, even the moderates. There may be some that talk of olive branches, compromises, etc, thinking that these folk would not be suicidal. It is their nature, nature that is helped by the Billionaires drowning reason and morality in money.

Please, Obama, please, Democrats, do not try to be the Frog that seeks mutal benefit. We will get stung in the back before we hit the river.
