in my opinion, Bashir is a scumbag who should be in an unemployment line rather than being rich and being allowed to pursue his career.

Bashir has a lot to answer for because his journalistic malpractice is unforgivable.

Of course I am referring to previous examples of his "craft," including his character assassination "documentary" of Michael Jackson from years ago, and for which he has half-heartedly apologized AFTER the damage was done. Lots of people still believe the bullshit he was peddling.

Even worse was the infamous 1995 Panorama interview he did with Diana, Princess of Wales, which should have NEVER been conducted. Looking at this interview many years later it is clear she was suffering from a serious mental illness, and, contrary to widespread belief (thanks to Diana's own fictional stories about why the marriage fell apart), it is clear her mental problems were the reason the marriage with Prince Charles ended. No third party was ultimately responsible. The interview showed an astounding lack of judgment by Diana not to mention complete hypocrisy about her concerns of how her children would be affected by publicity. You don't go on national (and international) television and trash your children's dad, air all of the dirty laundry, blame third parties but not accept any responsibility for your actions unless you are crazier than a shithouse rat, which tragically Diana was. That was bad enough, but what possessed Bashir and his producers to go forward with the interview anyway other than the desire to milk this poor woman for ratings and fortune? The interview was one of the most sickening things I have ever seen, and Bashir was in the middle of it. He and Andrew Morton should both rot in hell for what they did to the public by exploiting a vulnerable, mentally ill woman for money.

Every time Bashir is on the air, I switch channels or turn him off completely.
