All The GOP Plan May Hide A More Sinister Long Term Plan

The GOP pretty much holds dominance in 26 states and there is no Medicaid expansion in those states as well. Through voter law rigging, voter suppression and intimidation they seek to make their grip an iron grip as they focus on other states. All they need is 7 more states to have 75% of the states under their control.

In some states that are even nationally blue they can pass veto proof legislation that cannot be challenged. And this situation reveals another possible long term goal.

For all the rhetoric about the Constitution a darker plan could lurk. When I ask what else they might be up to the idea comes up that a "Constitutional Convention" may be part of their larger plan. They do indicate that they want to make certain policies Constitutional and nationwide. Why bother with state to state legislative laws. You can do it all by changing the Constitution itself. What they might really want to change is not totally clear.

What is clear is that they still thirst for political supremacy. Citizens United and a flow of unlimited money gives them the power to shape the political landscape to their advantage.

I know what I am saying that this scenario is a stretch. But who could imagine that the GOP would go so far as to risk taking the nation and economy down with the shut down and debt ceiling crisis.

I am not saying that what I am talking about will happen. All I am saying is that we need to look at long term goals. And the reason I say that is that our present situation was born back in 1981. I myself never could understand that "trickle down" economics would continue on so long. We now know has disastrous it has been yet we continue to follow it.

Const. convention has been mentioned many times, and I have always feared what could happen if there were to be one..anything could be rammed thru.
While most of us have been focusing on the national pressures, Rove and others have been quietly taking states to red..
Here in Ala. there are not even any Dem. candidates. Republicans own the Legislture, all the Government offices, and a lot of the various city offices.

I tend to look at things differently because when I got my BFA in theater my thinking patterns were drastically changed. My theater and art profs taught us majors to thoroughly analyze things from many angles and to project the end result far down the line. And what I have found is that I tend to look at patterns of behavior and where they might lead beyond the horizon.

What I noticed with so many people around me is that so many citizens have very short range vision and very shallow is any analysis. That is why trick slogans work so well. A lot of people I encounter have the eyesight of a Rhino. You can lead them just about anywhere any time because they can see only in front of them. And because rhinos can see only one side at a time and have little or no stereoscopic vision you can show them two different images from each side and lead them where you want them to go.

with lots of money and organization. Dems are way behind the 'game,' and we'll be very lucky if we are able to salvage ours (and Jefferson's) dream. imo.

I get that the world can sometimes be a scary place, but you seem to be obsessed with reminding us we are all pawns and the goddamn Republicans are way smarter and more brutal and will take away our democracy.

Break the glass, pull out the paper bag, and begin breathing into it. You will feel better.
