GOP Must Believe They Will Be Rewarded With Victory If They Make Things Bad Enough.

In their own twisted way the GOP believes they will be rewarded with victory in 2014 and 2016 is the make the economy and life bad enough in the US. And they are counting on the MSM to convince voters that all the misery is completely the fault of Obama and left wing socialists. They also believe that Americans have short memories and will forget this latest GOP caused crisis. They appear to be digging in even further.

Polls may indicate that they are losing but we will not know until the elections. Then again we do not know how well voter suppression and intimidation will work for them. Unless people in heavily gerrymandered districts wake up and vote the radicals out charades of what we see now will continue long term.

Sure we are seeing editorials and some publications blaming them. Yet we will see a lot of false equivalency on the MSM saying the Democrats are just as bad and just as responsible with little retort on the spot.

Tyrone: Obama vs. Alan Keyes. Keyes was from out of state, so you can eliminate any established political base; both candidates were black, so you can factor out racism; and Keyes was plainly, obviously, completely crazy. Batshit crazy. Head-trauma crazy. But 27% of the population of Illinois voted for him. They put party identification, personal prejudice, whatever ahead of rational judgement. Hell, even like 5% of Democrats voted for him. That's crazy behaviour. I think you have to assume a 27% Crazification Factor in any population.

I against my brother, my brother and I against our cousin, my brother and my cousin and I against the stranger, internal Republican politics is brutal at the top but they have a lot of salute-the-flag followers. It's near custom designed for political mayhem.

On the other side you have what could be called the Will Rogers factor.

People could be dying right in front of them and they would still be stopping the ambulance from getting to them.

Now if you look back to the Depression era history shows that the GOP was determined to just let it run its course rather than do a thing. In fact Hoover and the GOP controlled Congress gave the rich tax cuts back then and resisted any kind of program to end it. They wanted to let the economy correct itself. They believe the same thing today.

So you get cancer. If the GOP were a doctor they would just see if the disease disappeared on its own. Or they would send you to Joel Olsteen to pray over you.

They see what we see. They will be impotent at the national level for the next several election cycles. They expect to lose elections.

As such, they have no other means of exercising any power other than through blackmail, and it will probably work for them. They are willing to do just about anything to stay relevant and wield power, and that's just what we're seeing now.

Just my 2 cents ...

Until the person(s) who have Boners balls in a vice squeezes and tells him to put a clean bill up the Republicans will continue to act like dicks.

We need to shine a light on who is controlling the vice.

The controller(s) are getting what they want and they are profiting mightily.

I believe they know fully well what they want and what they are doing. The media gives them the benefit of the doubt that they are irrational and do not know. That includes a lot of progressive media. All the years that I have closely followed the GOP I am sure a core of the leaders or core supporters are acting deliberately. They have been good at bamboozling other supporters into doing their bidding and voting for them.

They always seem to have a plan and a way to throw unexpected curves at the populace. They are good at keeping people confused and uncertain about the facts of a situation and the end result of their policy.

I look at key GOPPERS like a bunch of premeditated miurderers. They know but they will do what they do anyway. I do agree that they are irrational or appear to be. However, there is a method to their irrationality and madness that seems to work for them The other problem is that no matter how irrational they are they believe it and it is in fact their reality..

They are the distractors for those controlling the vice so we pay attention to the circus and not what is really happening.

Yes it is intentional but why are they, TeaHadists, being turned lose now with so much on the line, US and world economy and all that, we are talking REAL money and or power; who is profiting?

promising 'war chests' for campaigns of neoliberal free-market righteousness.

Living in the US is like being forced to play a "monopoly" game where the rich have the capacity to buy rule changes and never have to worry about 'going directly to jail'.

Actually the GOP was a wreck after Nixon Resigned. Joe Coors and others used millions of dollars to save them in 1972. And the Coors family is still a secret donor and allies of the Kochs even today. And they are also calling the shot like a lot of other super rich in the country. Without these oligarchs the GOP could not exist at all.
