Shouldn't these TeaBaggers be out in the wild somewhere stockpiling weapons & food?
... rather than pretending to care about governing the nation, the very same guv-mint
they claim to hate so much?
Government-haters ought to be the last people on earth anyone would actually vote for
to run their guv-mint.
Small wonder TeaBaggers are so piss-poor at governing. Can the American People say
"Never again" will we elect one of these boneheads.?

(611 posts)Apparently it's been done before. Can a way to guarantee "service in good faith" be written into the oath, without creating more problems than it would seek to prevent? The current form is ambiguous, open to interpretation. The RW claims to be trying to defend the Constitution, and may see our side as "domestic enemies" of the Constitution. There's nothing in there about un-governing as a purported way of governing. It also doesn't seem to specify upholding the current law of the land, only defending the Constitution.

There are probably far better links to cover the topic. I haven't had coffee yet, so I grab the first one I find.

Can you imagine hiring someone who said, "Hi, I want to work here so I can destroy your business." I think most HR people would call security and have that person escorted way out of the building.
But, somehow, when it comes to elections and politics, it's okay to say "hire me as a government employee so I can destroy the government I work for and take you all down with me."
