My provider covered only about 25%. That is still several hundred a year.

I imagine if a person can't afford the whole price they can't afford the copay anyway.

What is probably more significant is access to the doctor that will prescribe the rx.

2. co-pays are wierd. sometimes they're even higher than "full price"

i pay "full price" until i hit my deductible, then it's "just" a co-pay thereafter.

for my zomig this is great because "full price" is more than $400 for 12 doses, but then the co-pay is only $40.

but i have other meds that are under $25 "full price". but when i hit the deductible, the smallest co-pay is $25, so i actually pay MORE for those meds!
