By Alex Seitz-Wald
While all three leading Republican presidential candidates have refrained from strongly condemning Rush Limabughs attacks on Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke, Mitt Romney has been the most impotent thus far, and passed on another opportunity to criticize the radio host last night. When asked about Limbaughs vicious attacks on Fluke last week, Romney merely said, Ill just say this, which is, its not the language I would have used.
Last night, at his Super Tuesday victory party in Boston, Romney was asked again for his thoughts on Limbaughs attacks and said only, My campaign is about jobs and the economy and scaling back the size of government and Im not going to weigh in on that particular controversy.
By this point, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) both of whom endorsed Romney and several other Republicans, have all publicly condemned Limbaugh, but the partys most visible leaders have not. Courage! Daily Show host Jon Stewart mocked when commenting the candidates tepid responses to Limbaugh Monday night.

(21,925 posts)Palin would go on interview shows like Katie Couric until she exposed how ill-informed she was. After that, she only gave softball interviews on Fox. Romney has been on O'Reilly's show but little else. He doesn't subject himself to any amount of rigorous questioning by reporters, not even in this Limbaugh controversy. Softball interviewer David Gregory has complained that Romney refuses to go on Meet The Press. Here's a clip from MSNBC yesterday involving a conversation with Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Big Ed, and Lawrence O'Donnell regarding how Mitt is too chicken to go on Meet The Press or to field any questions at all. He's far more cowardly than Palin.
