Good! These little girls are being made targets for sexual predators. How any parent can do this to their child is beyond me. BBI
French report: Ban child beauty pageants, padded bras for little girls

A year after Vogue Paris published provocative images of a 10-year-old model, a French government report has called for a ban on child beauty pageants and padded bras and high heels for young girls.
Although the French did not react immediately to the photos of Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau, 10, in skyscraper heels and revealing clothes in the January 2011 issue of Vogue Paris, the international community did, prompting the French parliamentary report.
Chantal Jouanno, the senator who authored the report, told Le Figaro newspaper that young girls were being disguised as sexual candy and that it was contrary to the dignity of the human being. She called it a step backward for gender equality.
Vogue defended the photo shoot of the elementary-aged girl, according to the Guardian, saying that young models were simply dressing up like their mothers. There is no mention of the scandal on Thylanes Facebook fan page, which reads, simply: At 10, the little Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau is already a model!

Far too much, far too young: Outrage over shocking images of the 10-YEAR-OLD model who has graced the pages of Vogue
By Mail Foreign Service
August 10, 2011
Wearing heavy make-up and gold stilettos, Thylane Blondeau sprawls seductively on leopard print bed covers.
Now the shocking images of the French child model have brought condemnation from parents groups and MPs.
Fleur Dorrell, of the Mothers Union, yesterday described the images as physically disturbing and said they were blurring all thoughts of beauty.
And Labour MP Helen Goodman accused Vogue of being disgraceful and totally irresponsible by publishing the pictures, saying it should have known better. They have descended into the gutter by doing this, she said. 'The sexualisation of children is one of the most pernicious ills of our era. They should not have done this.

It's time that action be taken against the "fashion" industry to stop their exploitation and abuse of children with the approval of irresponsible parents. BBI

Though I can't help noticing how the Daily Wail is having it both ways: implying moral disapproval of using such images of kids, while at the same time parading them through its pages. Typical British tabloid titillation.

When they changed it to "4 bands for 4 bucks," we all complained.

I want to learn that trick! Can you find out who controls the House and Senate from your source? That could save us some work on the November election.
