Now that the heat is picking up on Rush...perhaps we need to persuade the advertisers

to pull their support of Clear Channel until CC gives Rush the boot. It does not one bit of good for the advertisers to play games with us and "appease" us by continuing to run advertising on these stations "outside of the Rush show"...and merely rearranging the money.

The next hard court press needs to be on a Clear Channel ultimatum....Rush goes or they go.

Rush, did you think people would say "Gee, since we can't just surgically attack Limbaugh alone, we'll have to drop this."

Clear Channel: Let Rush skate and you're next. As sure as the sun rises in the East...

he has reassured his listeners that the ads will run during other talk radio programs until the flap is over and then it will be business as usual again.

If advertisers boycott Clear Channel, they will be boycotting such great progressive programs as Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz and Bill Press. I'd hate to think how things would be without them.

Clear Channel had it's fun, but now it isn't working so good anymore. Our Progressive radio personalities are evolving into something much better.

And Ed Schultz could easily go to Sirius Radio.

...a competitor to Premiere and Clear Channel. CC owns a few Progressive Talk stations...most notably KPOJ in Portland and KTLK in Los Angeles, but they've also dropped the format from a bunch of their stations. The only Progressive show produced through CC and Premiere is Randi Rhodes, the rest are distributed through Jones Radio.

It was Clear Channel that did a mass firing on the day President Obama was inaugurated and continues to cheapen and dumb down a once proud industry. They're not alone but at the largest broadcasting corporate they set the pace. They stand four square behind rushbo and are just shuffling the dollars around waiting for the shitstorm to subside...

We have a good morning show with Phil Stone and Brent Douglas they call the breakfast club zoo and they're funny as hell but I won't be listening to them until rush is off CC who owns the radio station that they are on. KMOD 97.5 Tulsa Oklahoma. In their show you get the past 24 hrs worth of relevant news from our perspective so they will be missed by me.
