The economy *still* sucks, BTW (short rant)

On the ground, for many of us, there's still no light at the end of the tunnel...

I can tell you my own town is still full of empty commercial spaces, no businesses are coming back, and there's even some who have gone under recently, not just in 2008.

Personally, I have begun to doubt my own abilities...been out of it for so long I can;t even write a good cover letter anymore without sounding desperate or like I am an idiot.
Called my mom to beg for help over a 48-hour notice from the Electric co today and we got to talking about possible options. (ya, she still thinks I could work at the casinos...big help) But she mentioned that I used to be able to just walk into a place and nail a job no problem...
I reminded her THAT was in the 90s, when the economy was booming... (PLUS- I was in my 20s and could wiggle my butt and get what I wanted...now, aint nobody want to see that!)

I'm still trying to finish up my BA online, looks like there's about 6 months to go...and even then I don't know if it will help. Meanwhile trying to find some PT telecommuntig gig to fill up the holes. It just amazes me looking at job listings...there's like 2 pages of duties and qualifications...and it pays $9/hr seriously?

You wanna know why everyone is getting bad approval ratings, even our "beloved" POTUS...?
"It's the FUCKING ECONOMY STUPID!!!!!"

you know, it's everyone's fault in office, not just the GOP...why haven't the banks been held accountable? Why are the top 1 percent still getting all the breaks...no, I don't accept that meme that it's ALL about the crazy GOP

I have been waiting for YEARS for things to get better, and yes, voted Obama back into office in 2012...and i am highly dissapointed in a Democratic President who is still playing corporate pocket pool with ALL of them

And he is a Democrat. That means we are well on our way to recovery now.

The mantra for 2014 and 2016 should be, "It's the inequality, stupid."

... get it that the "come back" on the economy for the middle class would be generational happy path wise?
