Some people claim there are always problems when a new product is rolled out. Just saying.

(5,330 posts)Sounds like the "blue flashing light" and overheating is a real problem, just like with the YLOD (Yellow Light of Death) with the early models of the PS3.
I never buy consoles at first launch. Wait a few months until they mature a little first, work out the kinks...
Its a very small percentage of people. Basically the PS4 launch is a resounding success.

(5,330 posts)Whatever. I was actually thinking of picking up a PS3/GTA-V bundle once it hopefully falls in price, now that the PS4 is out.
I've never owned a Sony console before, but there are a few PS3 titles that caught my eye, as well as classics available through the Playstation Network.
So hopefully the PS4 catches on and people flood the market with used PS3s.

Did I say get off me lawn there bucko?...Na not me...
But I refuse to buy in to the latest greatest yada yada-and yes I have kids who suffer terribly with PS2 & Nintendo DX etc..
I always wait after a product release in the latest greatest whatever. Bound to be a few bugs to work out-and your paying to test for them?.

Sony looking into PlayStation 4 hardware problems on eve of launch
Ahead of the PlayStation 4's official release on Friday, reports have already surfaced of gamers and reviewers receiving retail units that aren't fully operational.
Gamers who received early PlayStation 4 units through a special promotional deal Sony offered began to receive their units on Wednesday, and some of these early adopters quickly discovered problems with the new gadget. Two Reddit users claimed that their consoles were essentially dead on arrival. Another early PS4 owner said his console froze when he was updating the game "Battlefield 4" and "hasn't worked since."

I think I'm waiting about 6 months - I still have too many PS3 games I haven't tried yet - and the few games they have out for the PS4 don't interest me anyway.
