This is so unreal to me that in this day and age we basically have so much racism still. Maybe I'm naive or sheltered but I was born in the 70s raised in the 80s all my experience -save for my mother who has 50s thinking-have been good ones. I did get bullyed by a group of black girls in high school but that was school it didn't change my opinion of that race. IN FACT for 2 years one of the "greatest" bullies became a good friend of mine. She lived beside me and we worked at the same company. It felt at times she looked out for me.
So to me this is just unreal that stat of 775%.

If you haven't seen the film Ghost World (2001), this uncomfortable subject is addressed quite well. It is not the main subject of the film, but a major factor in the plot.

(17,266 posts)This is no accident.
The re-election of Obama will fuel the blind, racist fear and hatred that drives people into a violent frenzy. They will be itching to kill them some blacks and libruls and still raring to go by the time 2017 rolls around.
My concern is that a consolidated base of right-wing crazies will too easily be convinced to turn on their fellow Americans.

Edit: I went to the Corbis website and found it was taken June 1949 at a Klan rally outside of Atlanta.
