I still refuse to accept that entering DST before the Spring equinox is in any way sane. (Original Post) 2ndAmForComputers Mar 2012 OP

I concur! that extra hour or so, makes me feel alive again! Would rather have a bit more of darkness in the morning when I'm sleeping, or just waking up.

"Only the US government could think that you could cut a foot off one end of a blanket and sew it to the other end and make it longer."

Brilliant insight!

This is AWFUL. We might as well stay on this time all year. I'm sick of this.

I remember back in the '70s under Nixon going to school with damn flashlights in the morning and this is not much different.

I get up at 4:30 typically, and I notice that it gets rather bright outside in the summer. The sun rises at around 5 o'clock in June. Without DST, this rise would be at 4:00 AM, when most of the country is asleep. The idea is to move our time to not waste all of that daylight for times when we are sleeping.

It's hell for me to adjust, and I imagine it's the same for anyone else with sleeping problems. I don't care which time but I wish they'd just pick a damn time and stick to it all year round.
