I bet you could find similar from the Clinton days. As much as daydream about single payer and how we have gotten closer to it I can't help but feel its just dreams.

a lot of things are just dreams. Our economic system is based on the premise that just a few "rise to the top". Everyone else is on their own.

Insurance for my 63 year old husband will be about $200/month for us. Decent insurance, $5000 deductible $6530 yearly limit on out of pocket.
It's a huge relief to have him covered. 16 months to Medicare!
Single payer is the way, but I'm grateful for this right now. It is a bit complicated, but I refuse to whine about it because it's a hell of a lot better than nothing.
