Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has been hospitalized after “not feeling well,” but “everything is normal” following a series of tests, his office said Friday.

Out of precaution, Reid, 74, went to the hospital early Friday morning, spokesman Adam Jentleson said.

“He is alert, resting and feeling better,” Jentleson said.

Reid will be staying in the hospital so doctors can observe him, and he will not be on Capitol Hill on Friday, his office said.

Serial enzymes take about 24 hours, followed by a stress test and discharge.
