The black one is Sonia who we adopted from DUer, Flaxbee, nine years ago, and the other one is Lucy who 11 weeks old and is a stray that our daughter rescued in early November. Lucy is sleeping like she surrendered to the sleep!

I've yet to get a good picture of Sara. She's camera shy--please ignore the ugly linoleum in our rented home(Photo by me).

(14,040 posts)Emma's a mix of full-blooded mama Persian and tomcat daddy--same with Sara, they're from the same litter. The family that had the Persian were going to breed her "properly" so didn't want this litter of kittens--their loss, my gain.
She and Sara are beautiful (if not troubled) old ladies. However, I have to wonder if the tomcat had some Maine Coon in him 'cause Emma's a biggin' but Sara is a dainty lady that rules the roost and squeaks when she meows.
Sorry about Truffle.

(5,177 posts)Sporadic employment is keeping me from adopting, so far. Maybe after my temp situation becomes a full hire, I'll feel secure enough to take on a new dependent. Of course, if one just shows up at my door, that will change spontaneously.
