After a few busy days in GD, we need a mandatory kittie love thread...

The black one is Sonia who we adopted from DUer, Flaxbee, nine years ago, and the other one is Lucy who 11 weeks old and is a stray that our daughter rescued in early November. Lucy is sleeping like she surrendered to the sleep!

Panda's (not shown), but Lucy usurped it from him, and then Sonia usurped it from Lucy. It's always something silly with cats!

So Sonia didn't even care about it til Lucy claimed it?

Lucy needs her belly tickled in that pic.

I've yet to get a good picture of Sara. She's camera shy--please ignore the ugly linoleum in our rented home(Photo by me).

Emma's a mix of full-blooded mama Persian and tomcat daddy--same with Sara, they're from the same litter. The family that had the Persian were going to breed her "properly" so didn't want this litter of kittens--their loss, my gain.

She and Sara are beautiful (if not troubled) old ladies. However, I have to wonder if the tomcat had some Maine Coon in him 'cause Emma's a biggin' but Sara is a dainty lady that rules the roost and squeaks when she meows.

Sorry about Truffle.

My Natasha Krospina I, Empress of All The Cats, is a dead ringer for your Emma. My girl is a standard Munchkin, and built like a bulldog under all that fur, tipping the scales at fifteen pounds.

Sporadic employment is keeping me from adopting, so far. Maybe after my temp situation becomes a full hire, I'll feel secure enough to take on a new dependent. Of course, if one just shows up at my door, that will change spontaneously.
