White House party crasher Tareq Salahi wants to run for Congress (Virginia 10th CD)
Reports Politico "Tareq Salahi readies to ‘crash’ VA-10":The man known best for his part in the 2009 “crashing” of a White House State Dinner along with his then-wife, Michaele, saw his write-in campaign for this year’s gubernatorial election in Virginia fail, but he’s throwing his hat in the ring for the congressional seat soon to be vacated by retiring Rep. Frank Wolf.
“Why would I be doing this again if it was just a publicity stunt or a TV show?” said Salahi, who intends to pursue the Republican Party’s nomination for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District. “This is really about me going back to my love and my passion of Virginia and my political roots I had long before my reality television career.”
