Christmas Eve was beautiful

Yesterday was a pretty uneventful day at work. I stayed in the office in case any patients had emergencies, needed medication refills, or just needed to talk.To help me pass the time,I made meditation beads...a LOT of them.
As I was leaving the hospital, I saw a waiting room of patients and families.I gave them each a handful of meditation beads, wished them a Happy Holiday, and asked them to please share with someone who needs a smile.I then walked towards the exit.

The waiting room (In a large hospital) turned into a Christmas wonderland. People were aflutter all over the waiting room, the hallways...wishing strangers Merry Christmas. It was full of laughter and spontaneous Christmas songs in English and Spanish. As I drove home, the sun was setting.
There was a single star in the sky.

It made me smile.
