GOP congressman eats reindeer for Christmas.

As Santa made his way around the globe to deliver presents, one GOP congressman introduced a Christmas special into his diet.

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) posted a photo to his Twitter account Wednesday morning, displaying a meal he had eaten in Oslo, Norway. Among the items on his plate was reindeer.

A few days earlier, King delivered his Christmas message to constituents, urging them to tell him what their #DCWishList was. King's own wish was "that we would all pull together to restore the pillars of American exceptionalism."

I don't care about the eating of reindeer in and of itself. But it was obviously a callous post on the Christmas holiday, designed to provoke a reaction. Screw him.

There are plenty like that among us. I was listening to a sports show today and heard some woman refer to Michelle Obama as a big, unattractive, angry woman. Not one of the hosts corrected her, she was allowed to keep talking. There are ignorant assholes all around us, King is auditioning to be their leader, but not my leader or the leader of any fair minded, forward thinking American.
