Rep. Joaquin Castro rips Issa on Benghazi: He ‘crusaded for over a year on a fairy tale’

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/12/29/rep-joaquin-castro-rips-issa-on-benghazi-he-crusaded-for-over-a-year-on-a-fairy-tale/

Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) lashed out at House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) on Sunday for spending over a year on what he said was a crusade on a “fairy tale” after a New York Times report showed that Al-Qaeda had no role in the 2012 Benghazi attacks.

In an interview with NBC on Sunday, Issa was pressed about a New York Times investigation published over the weekend that revealed that Al-Qaeda did not plan or carry out the attacks at the U.S. outpost in Benghazi, undercutting the foundation of Republican arguments, hearings and accusations against President Barack Obama for the last year.

“Why use the term Al-Qaeda?” MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell asked Issa. “When you say Al-Qaeda, people think central Al-Qaeda. They don’t think militias that may be inspired by [Osama bin Laden] and his other followers. So, it is a hot button for political reasons.”

(end snip)

Video at the link.

I am waiting to hear what Darrell Issa's role in the CBS hoax was.

He very well may be our first Hispanic President.
This old mostly white man would love to see that.
I'm tired of the old white mans club that has been running things in this country forever. Yes they have and to the detriment of anyone who doesn't look or act like them.

And, I was thinking "first Hispanic President" when I heard him speak, too. It was the same sort of thoughts I had when I heard Barack Obama speak in 2004. I hope history repeats itself.

That is why he was given the keynote speech at the dem convention. That is how they put their promising young POTUS candidates on the national stage, as they did with both Clinton and Obama.

I like both of these Castro brothers, and I am sure one or the other will be our candidate eventually. In fact, Julian might actually get tapped for the VP slot in the 2016 race.

failure to thwart the terraist attacks of 9-11 notwithstanding a mountain of intelligence warning of such? Or is Rep. Issa just a malicious and devious political hack, a mendacious hypocrite who stirs up political hatred and ill-will solely for partisan political purposes to the detriment of the the national interest?
