Not because of the weather, which is indeed atrocious and largely ignored by PennDOT.
No, it was the worst commute because the weather made me late enough that I had to endure Cokie Roberts on NPR, preemptively calling the midterm elections a sweep for Republicans thanks to Obama's disastrous approval rating, the fact that Republicans are stronger on the economy and are more popular due to their "small government" agenda.
Thanks, Cokie.

(47,953 posts)replace stronger with harder and maybe she has a point. Except Cokie is too busy spewing the same old disproven republican talking points.
Too bad somebody couldn't have spliced in a laugh track.

A person whose political analysis on NPR has been described as "Four minutes of blather."

(63,224 posts)But since I can't get Democracy Now! I tune into NPR in hope of getting some useful info. Beats Bob-n-Tom or Quinn-n-Rose, at least.

(63,224 posts)My cube-neighbor won't shut up about sports. I get a full-throttle sports commentary from before I clock in until after he clocks out. It's horrible, because if you took all of my sports-related talk in my entire life, you might get 12 minutes of conversation out of me. But this guy is all day, every day. And when I tell him that I have no interest in sports, he takes it upon himself to educate me.
The last thing I need is radio pre-filling my brain with this stuff for him!
