Getting past "survival" mode and enjoying Mother Nature's beauty

Now that we're seeing the back end of this massive storm, sitting with a cup of coffee and enjoying Mother Nature's display as the day dawns.

Wow, she sure can put on a show, can't she?

And, yes, it's another "southern" thing as we don't get to see this side of Mother Nature very often.

At the edge of her yard, she digs, sniffs, digs, sniffs, digs, sniffs......

"I know my yard is out here somewhere, just have to find it under all this stuff!" Dig, sniff......

Then, she looks up at me with a "whose bright idea was this white stuff on MY yard?" look.

No ice accumulation. We're just now getting some snow flurries. Mostly we had a ton of cold, icky rain. That said, I'll take rain over ice, but my kids were disappointed.

Glad you and yours made it through safely.
